Lucasfilm Animation Benefit Art Auction: Dave Filoni

In 2009, with just 4 days of planning we successfully raised over $4,000 for the AIDS/Breast Cancer Emergency Fund. With a little over 4 weeks to plan in 2010, we raised a whopping $8,465. This was achieved through the generous support and amazing donations from artists like you. All proceeds from our Art Auction will be going to the AIDs/Breast Cancer Emergency Fund.

With the addition of so much new talent to the studio, the 2011 Art Auction is bound to be even more successful than the last 3 years!

We highly encourage original pieces. This is a perfect chance for you to put down the Wacom pen and dust off your oil paints/gouache/charcoals/ink/film/ect. We ask that your art work be framed and/or matted when delivered to us.

Dave Filoni

Bo-Katan: This is an image I created for online promotion of Clone Wars and the new Female Madalorian Warrior Bo-Katan played by Battle Star Galactica’s Katie Sackhoff.. Since the audience did not see the character Bo-Katan’s face in the episode I wanted to put out a teaser image of her and let them know they will see her next season.

Avatar-Wars: When I left Avatar the Last Airbender I gave every member of the crew this image of the main cast as Star Wars Characters. Working on Avatar was one of the greatest experiences of my career and I have never printed a copy of it since I gave it to the crew of Season 1. I drew the image on paper and then had it scanned in. The color was done by my then assistant director Justin Ridge, who later came up and worked with me on Clone Wars.
